What is Sharesies?
Sharesies started in 2016 with a goal of making investing as accessible for people with $50 to spare as it is for those with thousands.
Sharesies gives you access to invest in thousands of companies and funds in New Zealand, Australia, and the US.
Having an investment portfolio is easy—no matter how much money you have.

How do I start?
Sharesies is available for anyone who is 16+ years of age, an NZ resident, and has an NZ bank account.
You can set up a Kids Account for someone under 18, but it’ll need to be linked to an adult’s account.

What it’ll cost
Sharesies has competitive pricing for investing overseas and in NZ.
There’s no subscription fee to use Sharesies—including on Kids Accounts. We charge a transaction fee for investing in companies and ETFs, and a currency exchange fee when you exchange money.
A management fee is built into the price of ETFs and managed funds, charged by the fund provider. Managed funds may also charge a transaction fee when you buy and sell units.
When you invest in an American depositary receipt (ADR), you may be charged depositary fees. These are charged by the depositary bank that issued the ADR, not Sharesies.
